Mr. Dominic Joseph is a hardworking, self-made businessman and also a multi-talented actor who has portrayed key roles in a few Malayalam movies. His life journey from a backwater in Kerala to the national capital and his success as a businessman is worth emulating.
Born on May 25, 1967, to Joseph Francis, a businessman, and Mary Kutty Joseph, a homemaker, in Nalukody, Changanacherry in Kottayam District of Kerala, Mr. Dominic Joseph pursued his schooling in his village. He completed his graduation in Commerce from St Berchmans College, Changanacherry in 1988. After graduation, he left for Delhi to pursue the prospects of gainful employment. In 1990, Mr. Joseph joined the Central Reserve Police Force as a Subordinate Officer. He continued his service with various offices in CRPF in different locations of the country for nearly 14 years. During the period he also completed his MBA in HR and Marketing.
In 2004, he joined the Ministry of Home Affairs to look after the administrative matters of IPS Officers. Further, he has been deputed in the office of the Minister of State for Home Affairs during the period of Mr. Mullappally Ramachandran, MoS Home. From 2009-2014 he was the officer-in-charge of the Minister’s office. As a responsible officer in the Minister’s office, with the special permission of Mr. Mullappally Ramachandran, he extended assistance to the general public especially the Malayalee Community in their distress situations.
The Minister’s office was always ready for resolving the genuine issues of the distressed people. Due to his positive attitude and hardworking nature, he has always been entrusted with multifarious responsibilities in the Minister’s office. Rescuing an abducted Malayalee boy aged two years with the help of Delhi/UP Police, from the hands of child-lifters from Etawah (UP) was one among the most remarkable services rendered by Mr. Joseph during the period.
After completion of 25 years of unblemished Government Service, Mr. Dominic Joseph took voluntary retirement and joined as Head of Operations of AECS Pvt Ltd in NOIDA. After two years, Mr. Joseph started his own business ventures in New Delhi. He is the promoter of Dart Global Solutions Pvt Ltd., which deals with telecommunication equipment in Delhi NCR, and the Managing Director of Kerala Ayur Arogya Panchakarma Therapy Centre in Green Park Market, New Delhi.
Simultaneously, he is also involved in several social activities for the benefit of marginalized and downtrodden people of Delhi NCR. Mr. Dominic Joseph is the President of World Malayalee Council, Delhi Province, Vice President of Northern Region, All India Malayalee Association, and Executive Member of GOPIO (Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin). During the peak time of COVID 19 Pandemic, Mr. Joseph set up a Whatsapp Group named ‘Corona Warriors’ with an intention of better coordination of Nurses, Para Medical Staff, Delhi Police, and Covid 19 Patients. This group was very much active in resolving many genuine issues and interlink between the COVID 19 Pandemic matters in Delhi NCR. The group helped hundreds of patients to get necessary assistance during the distress period.
Mr. Joseph is also a multi-talented actor from childhood and got many prizes in Mimicry, Monoact, and Drama. He has acted in some Malayalam movies. “Kochuthomachan” directed by Jijo Joseph; “Kandahar” directed by Major Ravi; “Puzhayamma” directed by Vijesh Mani; “Thazhvaram Pinneyum Poothappol” directed by Roy P Thomas; and “Bhoomiyile Kaval Malakhamar” directed by Wilson Thomas which was shot during COVID-19 keeping in view of maintaining all social distancing formalities.
He is married to Annie Dominic and the couple has two children. Mr. John Dominic, Mechanical Engineer, and Mr. Titus Dominic is pursuing B Tech in Computer Science.
